Kitten Found in Field Runs to a Couple and Insists on Going Home with Them

A stray kitten came running to a couple when they found her alone in an open field.

Karianna and her partner were driving by an open field when they spotted a tiny kitten running around by herself. “We pulled over, and as soon as I got out of the car, she started running my way,” Karianna told Love Meow.

The tiny stray sprinted towards the couple as fast as her four little legs could. Once she caught up to them, she followed them closely by their feet and wouldn’t leave their side.

The kitten was dirty and just skin and bones. The couple couldn’t find a cat mother and other kittens in the area, and knew they had to help. They scooped her up and brought her to their car. The tabby girl curled up in Karianna’s arms as if she knew that she was safe.

They cleaned her up and lovingly named her Fielda after the place that she was found. “She was loving from the start, never shy or fearful. We took her to the vet the next day,” Karianna shared.

The kitten was estimated to be around six weeks old. She was covered in fleas, ear mites and had a mild case of ringworm.

It took a few weeks for the ringworm to clear up, but the tabby girl was resilient and so happy to have a home, a comfortable bed to sleep in and loving humans to keep her company.

The couple had another cat named Leon who was 1.5 years older. They kept the kitties separated for a while until Fielda was medically clear to meet her new friend.

“It took Leon a hot second to get used to her, but Fielda loved Leon from the start,” Karianna told Love Meow.

The persistent little kitten would tease her buddy by playing tag or hide and seek, constantly trying to get his attention. Fielda was determined to win him over and wouldn’t take no for an answer.

The rambunctious kitty quickly grew on her feline friend. A few weeks after they were introduced, the two really bonded, doing everything together.

Fielda would tag along with Leon everywhere around the house, and Leon would try to teach his little protege how to be a proper cat.

“A year later, Fielda and Leon are best friends. They are always wrestling, cleaning each other, and sharing the cat tower.”

The sweet tabby adores her family and is never far from them. She is determined to never be alone again.

Fielda has grown to really enjoy being cuddled. “She sleeps on us every night and demands her morning pets at the crack of dawn,” Karianna shared with Love Meow.

“She’s always so careful when she’s playing around with us and never gets us with her claws.”

The little former stray has flourished into a beautiful and playful tabby cat. When she is not sleeping or cuddling, she’s on the lookout for mischief.

“She’s about a year and two months old at this point, and has so much energy! She’s always watching birds out the window, playing with her favorite string toy, and munching on food.”

“Fielda is such an amazing kitty, and I’m so so grateful she came into our lives,” Karianna shared.

Kitten Fell Out of Moving Car, Found Kind Family to Help Him Thrive

A kitten who was rescued from a busy road, blossomed into a beautiful tabby cat.

A Good Samaritan saw a tiny kitten fall out of a moving vehicle on a busy road. She immediately stopped and retrieved the kitten in the nick of time.

The tabby was just 90 grams with his umbilical cord still attached. He was so small that he could fit in the palm of a hand. The kind person sought help for the kitten right away and got in touch with Nikki Martinez, an animal rescuer and a director for Hearts Alive Village.

“His (cat) mama likely put the kittens in the car engine to keep them warm and safe. He was less than 36 hours old. Amazingly, he only suffered a scratch on his nose,” Nikki said.

The little one was a fighter from the start. He gobbled down the kitten formula like a champ and really enjoyed his new nest inside of a warm and cozy incubator along with a heartbeat snuggle toy.

“He was tiny and frail but so tough at the same time. I was looking for a strong name that fit him, and we thought Jed was perfect for him,” Nikki added.

The tiny warrior kitty put on four grams the first night in foster care. His eyes were still closed, ears folded, but he was so happy to be cared for and have a faux mama to cling to for comfort.

“I noticed he was crying and fussy after he ate, so I picked him up and snuggled him and he started purring,” Nikki said. “I took my sweatshirt off and put it in his incubator and it soothed him.”

Jed was dealing with all sorts of gastrointestinal issues that kept his foster family very busy and up at night. “Motherless newborns this young are incredibly frail. The tricky part is finding out what it is, and quickly. At his size, time is our enemy and he can’t stand to lose weight.”

Nikki and her husband worked together as a team to closely monitor the kitten’s weight while providing painstaking care and supplemental nourishment around the clock. With unwavering dedication and many sleepless nights, things began to look up for the little guy.

At 16 days old, Jed finally caught up with his weight, rocking his adorable, round belly. After every feeding, he crawled up under Nikki’s chin for a snuggle and TLC.

“It was so hard for me to wake up between 2-3 AM, but this happy little boy made it all worth it,” Nikki shared.

At three weeks old, Jed graduated from the incubator and moved into a mini playpen where he would start learning to use his legs to walk. He quickly figured out how to waddle and was a natural climber.

The tabby boy was thriving with a big appetite and an insatiable desire for cuddles. Over the next month, Jed flourished into a playful, rambunctious tabby boy and a full-time cuddle-bug.

The little palm-sized kitten blossomed into a chonky, happy cat with a big personality. It was then they knew it was time to let him spread his wings and fly.

A family with three cats fell head over heels for little Jed. Not only did they offer him a forever home, but they also adopted Butter, his feline sister from another mother, so he would always have a friend his age to play with.

“I’ll miss my wild boy who loves to give hugs, but I couldn’t be more thrilled for his new family. My job is done and I’m a proud foster mama,” Nikki said.

Stray Kitten Walks onto Family’s Porch for Food and Has Her Life Turned Around

A hungry kitten wandered into a family’s yard for food and had her life turned around.

A resident from a neighborhood in Montreal, Canada heard a kitten’s cries coming from her yard. As she looked outside, she found a little stray meowing by her door, trying to get inside.

The kitten was all alone without a mom in sight. When she noticed the woman, she cried even louder as if she was begging for something to eat. The homeowner brought a can of food and laid it down on the porch. Within minutes, the hungry feline scarfed it down.

No one came to claim the kitten so the woman reached out to her local animal rescue, Chatons Orphelins Montréal, for help.

Maureen and Milena, volunteers of the rescue, drove to the neighborhood to pick up the kitten. They wanted to get her to safety that day, so the kitty wouldn’t have to fend for herself on the street for another day.

When they arrived, the little stray walked right up to them as if to say she was ready to leave the street life behind. “That night, the kitten was safe in the arms of the rescuers,” Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal shared with Love Meow.

The cat was around three months old, just skin and bones and in need of medical attention. “She was very thin when she came to us. We could tell that she hadn’t eaten for a long time. That’s probably why she went to the family for help,” Celine added.

“We named her Penny. She quickly warmed up to our rescuers and purred throughout the car ride.”

After being seen by the vet and treated for fleas and parasites, the kitten was taken to a foster home where she would learn to socialize. It was a big change for the little stray who had lived most of her life outdoors.

For the first few days, Penny kept to herself in her hiding spot, watching all the action unfold around her.

“It took several days before she adjusted to indoor life. She slowly came out of her shell and started to play with toys,” Celine shared with Love Meow.

Penny was happy to have a bountiful supply of food and always ate to her heart’s content. In just a few days, she really filled out.

Now that the kitten is healthy with a full belly, she’s getting more playful and energetic each day. “She enjoys soft things and she really likes being on top of the cat tree, so we can come and pet her.”

Penny has a knack for finding secret napping places whether it is a basket filled with laundry or inside of a random cabinet. She never ceases to surprise her humans with her adorable little quirks.

After a few weeks in foster care, the former stray was ready for her next chapter in life.

A family came across Penny’s story and was instantly smitten with the adorable little face.

They came to visit her last week and made her a permanent part of their family. It was a dream come true for sweet Penny.
